MICE (Medical Image Comm&Exch) and eConsent (Electronic Consent) Privacy Policy

The MICE (Medical Image Comm&Exch) and eConsent (Electronic Consent) applications are intended for use by authorised WA Health Sites. In this policy, we refer to these applications as 'MICE and eConsent'.

The following user information is obtained via WA Health Active Directory upon logging in:

• Name
• HE number
• Email address
• Job title
• Department

This user information is used solely for the operation of the MICE and eConsent applications:

• Patient consent forms generated by MICE and eConsent and stored in the patient's medical record will contain the Name, HE Number, and Job Title of both the user who obtained the consent, and the user who reviewed the consent.
• MICE reports generated by MICE when a visit record is archived to the patient's medical record will contain the Name and HE Number of all users who commented on the visit record, as well as the contents of each comment.
• Image metadata stored on the Medical Photography System will contain the Name, HE Number, and Department of the user who created the image.

Information obtained by or entered into these applications is stored securely in accordance with the WA Health 'Cloud Service Requirements' document, within 'Cloud Zone A - HealthNext'. Information is classified in accordance with OD 0537/14 'Information Classification Policy'.
